The Importance of Auto Glass

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your vehicle’s auto glass?
It’s an interesting question, and one that, I am sure, brings many different answers depending
on who you ask.

In fact, I was so intrigued by what people’s responses would be that I tested this question on my
family to see what they would say. I got a lot of different answers, from “so I can see better”, to
“so the wind and bugs don’t get in my face”. While these aren’t wrong per se, they weren’t
exactly correct either.

The correct answer was surprisingly delivered by my 7 year old daughter who told me that auto
glass was important because it keeps the passengers riding in the car safe.

Auto glass is probably one of the most important safety features in your car that often gets
forgotten or overlooked. But the truth is, your front windshield is essentially your car’s eyes,
especially nowadays with most newer cars having ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance
Systems) in them. So it is very important to make sure that your vehicle’s auto glass is fixed
when damages occur, especially to the front windshield

However, for some reason, it seems like people put off repairing or replacing auto glass when
damage does occur because they feel as though it is something that can be put off or taken
care of at another time. The next time you are driving around town take a look at your fellow
commuters’ windshields. I bet you will start to notice that there are many vehicles on the road
with damaged auto glass.

The fact of the matter is that driving around with a cracked or damaged windshield can be very
dangerous and should be repaired as soon as possible.

If you get a rock chip and are unable to get it repaired immediately, here are a couple helpful
tips. No automatic car wash, while running your heat or A/C, make sure it is on a low setting to
prevent glass from cracking out, as temperature changes will promote this.

So in conclusion, your vehicle’s auto glass is a safety feature that is very important to pay
attention to and not neglect. It is highly recommended that, when damage does occur to your
windshield, to get it repaired as soon as possible.
